Skilled Workforce Initiative
Manufacturing leaders, economic and workplace organizations, and educational institutions have joined together in order to create and implement a program designed to improve the skillset and qualifications of entry-level workers in Manufacturing. It is the goal and the hope of the Skilled Workforce Initiative that by investing in an educational program, a talent pool of more, better-qualified employees will thrive in our communities and ensure a stronger economy.
The Training Program is currently being compiled consisting of applied math and manufacturing principles. The classes will meet weekly for 12 weeks. Participants must be at least 18 years old, be a legal resident, and meet qualifications determined by assessment.
This program benefits a variety of diverse groups:
- High school graduates
- Retired or displaced workers
- Incumbent workers looking to improve their current skillset
- Those in the Manufacturing Industry looking to improve their skillset for better opportunity.
